NBI clearance renewal application can be submitted online and in person. For the submission of the Online NBI clearance renewal application, follow the steps below:

  • Online Clearance website: Click the button below, and it will launch you to the NBI renewal online application page
  • Renewal Option: Select the option of Clearance Renewal from the portal dashboard. Once selected, enter your unique NBI ID number. 
  • Check for the pre-entered details. If you need to change some information, you will be directed to submit the new application.
  • Fill Renewal Details: Enter the required details of previous NBI certificate to verify its eligibility for renewal. Enter the Old NBI ID, Mobile Number (For SMS Notification), Frist, Middle and last Name, and then the date of birth. Click the verify button to proceed.
  • NBI Clearance Renewal: Once you have verified the Old NBI certificate proceed to renewal.
  • Select Delivery Option: Select your preferred NBI branch to collect your certificate. You can also select the home delivery option; you will be charged  PHP 200 extra for home delivery.
  • Pay the renewal fee: You can pay the renewal fee of PHP 130 + PHP 25 service fee through Bayad Centers, 7-Eleven, GCash, PayMaya, or bank over-the-counter transactions
  • Collect NBI Clearance: Once the application is processed, you can collect the NBI clearance from the NBI branch. If you had selected home delivery, you would receive your certificate in 4 to 5 working days.

For in-person Renewal, follow the steps below.

  1. Visit your Nearest NBI center. 
  2. While visiting, keep your old or expired Clearance and two valid government-issued IDs.
  3. Go to the customer service desk and ask for the NBI clearance renewal form. Fill it with the accurate details and submit. 
  4. Complete the biometrics by fingerprints and photos at the office. 
  5. Pay the fee of PHP 130 + 25 service fee (for Online Payments) and keep the receipt with you.Once the application is submitted, you can collect the certificate on the same day. If you have the “hit” status, you will undergo further verifications, which can take 5 to 7 working days.

To renew your NBI Clearance, prepare the following documents:

Old NBI Clearance: Used for reference and verification, you are required to bring an expired certificate.

Two Valid Government-Issued ID (such as):

  • Passport
  • National ID
  • Driver’s License
  • UMID
  • PhilHealth ID
  • Birth Certificate

If your personal information has been changed, you may be required to bring the marriage certificate or birth certificate for corrections.

Go to the official website and download the NBI Clearance Application Form.

  1. Visit the Philippine Embassy or Consulate, and you can also get the Application Form from there. 
  2. Fill in the form with the required personal information. 
  3. Attach the required documents listed below: 
    • 2 recent passport-sized photos (white background).
    • A photocopy of your valid passport (data page).
    • Old/expired NBI Clearance (if available).
  4. Courier the filled application form, required documents, and the authorization letter of the representative to your representative in the Philippines, who can be a friend or family member.
  5. Your representative will pay the NBI Clearance renewal fee and submit your application at the NBI office.
  6. Once the renewed NBI clearance certificate is issued, your representative can send a scanned copy to you or courier the original to you abroad.

The renewed NBI Clearance certificate is valid for one year from the date of issuance. After a period of one year, the certificate must be renewed.
